npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill text-post-and-microblog
The master craft of the standalone text post / microblog (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Threads, Bluesky, Facebook text posts). Use when someone wants to write a text post, a LinkedIn post, a short written update, a microblog, or fix a post that flopped / reads as a wall of text / has a weak opening line. A text post has nowhere to hide -- the words are everything, and the first ~140-210 characters (the 'see more' fold) are most of the job. Uses the LINES framework. Reads brand-profile + voice-builder + hook-writer first; pulls the 'what' from the content-angle skills. The agent writes the post; the human approves; WoopSocial publishes to supported platforms, routing specifics to linkedin-post-writer / threads-post / thread-writer. NEVER fabricates a stat/story/metric or uses engagement-bait; avoids AI-slop over-formatting. No native multi-post threads; Reddit/Mastodon are advisory-only. Distinct from caption-writer, thread-writer, and the content-angle skills (WHAT vs this HOW).
npx skills add social-media-skills/skills --skill text-post-and-microblog
The master craft of the written post — lead with the line that earns the tap, isolate one idea, use negative
space, earn the read, and spark a reply. The platform skills specialize it, the human approves, and
WoopSocial publishes to supported text platforms. (The text peer of short-form-video-script.)
No thumbnail, no audio, no visual to carry a weak idea — the words are everything, and the first ~140–210 characters (the mobile "see more" fold) are ~80% of the job: that mini-post above the fold is the only thing most people read before deciding. Three counter-intuitions for 2026. (1) White space is a feature, not wasted space — short paragraphs and line breaks lift reading time ~20%. (2) OVER-formatting now backfires — the Unicode-bold-everywhere, emoji-per-line, rigid-template look reads as AI slop and gets scrolled, so restraint beats decoration. (3) The engagement driver must be a genuine invitation — "comment YES / like & share" bait is algorithmically suppressed. The honest line: no formatting trick saves a post with no real idea — and the agent writes the post but won't fabricate the insight, a stat, or a story.
(Depth: references/the-lines-framework.md.)
The "see more" fold is a hard wall (~210 chars desktop / ~140 mobile on LinkedIn) — the first lines are a mini-post
that must earn the tap; lead with the insight, not an announcement. White space lifts reading time ~20%
(ConnectSafely), but the 2026 mistake is over-formatting (the bold/emoji/template look reads as generated).
Match length to content + platform: LinkedIn ~1,300–1,900 for depth / <500 for takes (cap 3,000; over ~2.5k ≈ -35%
engagement), X brief, Threads ~500, Bluesky ~300. Comments/saves/dwell beat likes; the CTA must be a genuine
invitation, not suppressed bait; native beats external links — attribute all, verify-quarterly. Full figures:

Reads first: brand-profile + voice-builder + hook-writer. Pulls the 'what' from the content-angle skills. Feeds: linkedin-post-writer + threads-post + X posts + caption-writer + thread-writer (platform/format specialization), quote-cards-and-text-graphics (if a line becomes a graphic), design-and-templates. A standalone text post whose first line earns the tap above the ~140–210-char mobile fold (a true, specific, front-loaded insight — no announcement/greeting opener), built on one idea with length matched to content type and platform (not a generic number), structured with generous white space and short paragraphs but WITHOUT over-formatting into AI-slop (≤1 emphasis, key terms plain), delivering the hook's promise in a human brand voice with no fabricated idea/stat/story, and ending on a genuine specific engagement driver (not "comment YES / like & share"); platform specifics routed to linkedin-post-writer/threads-post/X/caption-writer/thread-writer; the no- native-thread and advisory-platform limits stated honestly; published via WoopSocial (supported) or the human (advisory) and measured on saves/comments/dwell rather than likes; AI-disclosure, consent, and YMYL handled; nothing fabricated, no engagement-bait, no AI-slop formatting; and correctly distinguished from caption-writer, thread-writer, the platform writers, and the content-angle skills.
